Lomiflox

Indications

Lomiflox belongs to Fluroquinolones antibacterial agents. Lomiflox is a broad-spectrum bactericidal agent effective against a wide range of gram-negative and gram-positive organisms. The bactericidal action of Lomiflox results from interference with the activity of the bacterial enzyme DNA gyrase, which is needed for the transcription and replication of bacterial DNA. Lomiflox is taken once a day without regard to meals. Lomiflox is indicated for :

Lower Respiratory Tract Infections

Acute Bacterial Exacerbation of Chronic Bronchitis caused by Haemophilus influenzae or Moraxella catarrhalis

Urinary Tract Infections

- Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, or Staphylococcus saprophyticus.
- Complicated Urinary Tract Infections caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Citrobacter diversus, or Enterobacter cloacae.

Typhoid Fever
Dosage and administration
Dosage (for adults)
One tablet a day for 10 – 14 days.
The tablet should be swallowed with a full glass of water.
